Orientation Students - Campus Card ID Upload

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Spring 2026 orientation students will pick up their MSU ID card during orientation check-in. Students who are unable to attend orientation or who were unable to submit a successful ID photo prior to the deadline (5pm on Sunday, January 11) may pick their ID card up in the Campus Card Office, 108 Allen Hall, during regular office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). If you are an online student, your MSU ID will be mailed to you by the Distance Education Center via U.S. mail to the mailing address listed for you in Banner, but only after you have enrolled in classes.

Please be advised that your MSU ID card is required for residence hall check-in, class attendance, and access to numerous university services. Lost or damaged MSU ID cards are subject to a $50 replacement fee.

Only new students may upload a photo for their MSU ID Card. This service is ONLY available to online students enrolled in classes or first-time freshmen and transfers prior to their orientation session’s photo submission deadline. Listed Below are the photo requirements and the instructions for successfully uploading an ID photo.

Please, be sure you are in an area of good internet or cellphone service and that the ID photo you want to submit is accessible from whatever device you are using to access myState before attempting to upload an ID photo.

  2. Under the Apps & Services section, click the Campus Card ID Upload link.
  3. Review the guidelines listed on the page (also available below), then click Choose file to browse and select your ID jpeg formatted photo file. NOTE: “Live” iphone photos or video files will result in an unsuccessful or blank photo submission.
  4. A preview of your photo will appear along with controls allowing you to crop and rotate the photo, as needed. Click the Crop button when you're ready to proceed.
  5. Click Submit to complete the ID card photo upload process.
