Services Retained by Retirees

Retirees from Mississippi State University, as defined by the state of Mississippi retiree guidelines, may retain specific IT services after their separation from the University. Discontinued use for 120 consecutive days will cause the account to be disabled; however, the account may be re-enabled upon request by contacting the ITS Service Desk (Request to re-enable account).  Accounts that are disabled for 18 months will be removed.

 

Services retained by retirees include (subject to change):

  • Email access (departmental email addresses may be removed or made secondary if requested by the department)
  • myBanner
  • myState
  • Duo (Employees who retire after 05/01/2026 will keep Duo)
  • Wi-Fi/Eduroam access
  • Maroon Alert
  • Computer Lab access (Guest login or NetID login with Duo)
  • Library access with inter-library loan (see the front desk to be added to the Sirsi system)
