Microsoft Copilot
When using Microsoft Copilot there are two options available.
Microsoft Copilot Chat - No additional cost
Use Copilot Chat
Everyone that uses Microsoft 365 at MSU has access to Microsoft Copilot Chat. Once you are at the Copilot page you must sign in (top right corner) with your MSU credentials to be fully secure under our agreement with Microsoft, which means it is safe to use with institutional data (choose your work account, not your personal account). As long as you are signed in with MSU credentials, any prompts, information retrieved, and responses generated, remain protected and are not used to train the underlying AI models.
Microsoft 365 Copilot - Additional cost for licensing
With this single user license, Copilot is embedded into all your M365 applications. The licensed version of Microsoft 365 Copilot provides enhanced access and features compared to the free version. With a licensed version, Copilot can access all the MSU systems you have access to, including emails, files, Teams messages, and public information within your organization. Microsoft Teams Premium
Microsoft Teams Premium is a Teams add-on license that allows organizations with Microsoft 365 subscriptions to enhance their Teams experience with benefits like:
