Setting up an Administrative Banner 9 Foundation (DVFD) Account

The Mississippi State University Foundation (MSUF) is responsible for soliciting, receipting, acknowledging, and managing private gifts benefiting the educational, research, and service programs consistent with the university's priorities and mission. MSUF manages multiple types of funds, including restricted and unrestricted accounts, scholarships, endowments, and program funds. Obtaining access to Foundation Banner (DVFD) will allow individuals and departments to track and manage their Foundation funds using the ledger report, FWREXPND (Expense Report - Development), to verify balances, gifts, payments, etc. Please contact Holly Ellis at 662-325-7819 for additional information regarding the report.

To further assist campus units, the Department of Human Resources Management’s Business Manager Training Series includes training resources related to managing Foundation accounts. The PowerPoint from the January 9, 2025 Account Reconciliation session along with the archived recording of this session are available online and provide additional guidance for reviewing Foundation expenditures and balances.

To request a Foundation account, users should submit the Administrative Banner Access Request eform. View the KB article, Completing the Administrative Banner Request eForm for a Foundation (DVFD) Account, for step-by-step instructions on completing the eform.

After an Administrative Banner Foundation (DVFD) account is created, there are two (2) ways to log in and access Administrative BANNER:

  1. banner.msstate.edu
  2. my.msstate.edu

Access the factsheet, Logging into an Administrative Banner 9 Foundation (DVFD) Account, for detailed instructions.
