The university has a site license for Snagit that allows it to be installed on any university-owned computer when used for teaching or non-commercial purposes. In addition, student, faculty and staff home use on personal equipment is included at no additional cost.

1. Go to the Snagit Service Request page and click on the appropriate Installation link (University use vs Personal use).
2. Make a note of the Snagit key located on the download page. Click Download Snagit to download the application.
3. Open/Run the snagit.exe file to begin the installation process.
4. Check the boxes to accept the license terms and review the privacy policy, then click Install.
5. When installation is complete, click Continue.
6. Wait for Snagit to launch, then select Enter Software Key to license the software.
7. Copy the Snagit Key from Step 2 and paste it into the box. Click Unlock Snagit to continue.
If you did not copy the key or don't have the page open anymore, you will need to redo steps 1-2 to access the key on the download page again.
8. Select your personal preferences for Snagit and click Save. OR, click Skip to continue. (Personal preferences can be edited later.)
9. Snagit is installed and ready to use.

5. Drag the Snagit application to the Applications Folder when prompted.
6. Open your Applications Folder, then locate and launch Snagit. (Note: If your computer warns that Snagit is an app downloaded from the internet, click open to continue.
7. When Snagit opens, select Enter Your Software Key.

8. Next, enter the key obtained in Step 2, then click Unlock Snagit.
9. Click Get Started to continue.
10. Select your personal preferences for Snagit and click Save. OR, click Skip to continue (Personal preferences can be edited later.)
11. Snagit installed and is ready to use.
